Description: In the letter to his brother Dan, Philip Berrigan reports on his activities with the Peace Mission while living with the Josephite Fathers community in the Bronx and the latest news concerning both of them.
Transcription: go ahead to ordination, and in the matter of
celibacy, going by his conscience. If an
opportunity arises for marriage, so be it.
There is many a priest who would marry
him. It seems to me that this is a
wiser (I hope) cause than embracing
another Christian ministry. He has his
community now - it is not exclusively
Catholic, but hes profoundly at home
with it. But well talk more of this
later.
Well try to live with the vacuum of
your absence during July. I have few
commitments during the summer - the
Lord seems to see to it that when some-
thing needs doing, the demands abroad
lessen. Am extending to your love to all
the brethren, as I will to the family.
Have a great month. Peace and the kids
love.
In Christ
P.B.
