These are some notes pertinent to the trial of the Catonsville Nine in Baltimore in October 1968.

         2 of the 3 religious who are defendents - Fr. Daniel 
              Berrigan & Bro David Darsh have received 
              open support from their Communities (Jesuits 
              & Christian Brothers respectively) for their 
              right to individual conscience & allegiance 
              as brothers.
              Fr Phillip Berrigan received no such 
                 public statement from the Josephites fathers.

             All 378 American Bishops were sent a 
                 personal letters by the defendents asking: 

	          only 3 replied (negatively)
